Boston Harbor, Boston, MA - August 12, 2000 - 8AM start

  The Boston Light Swim is the oldest open-water marathon swim in the
  United States of America. It is a tradition that began in 1908 and has
  continued right up to the present day. Participants begin the race in the
  water at Boston Light and continue on past George's Island and Rainsford
  Island, under the Long Island Bridge, around Thompson's Island, and finish
  ten miles later at the L Street Bathhouse in South Boston.
