Welp, when your teammates are 4.4 miles away on the other side of the Bay, you need to make sure to capture their accomplishments too! Thanks for everyone's help to make sure we recognize the one milers swimming the Chesapeake Challenge! If we need another addendum, it'll be made! Here we go!
Let's start with a little recap -- "Big Tuna" Nobell Jarrell completed to one miler which was staged on Maryland's Eastern Shore while the 4.4 milers were clustered at Sandy Point outside of Annapolis. But, he wasn't alone in making the journey. A contingent of Terrapin Masters faithful joined him to not only swim the open water event, but provide each other with encouragement and join in the revelry of swimming the open waters!
Let's start with Jane Strachan. She may decide not to redeem her "good for a free meet entry fee" Terrapin Masters' coupon, but she's certainly willing to swim the open waters! Good at'cha Jane!
Also, we hear a lot about Allyson Adams being afraid of butterfly (remember, butterfly is your friend!), but there is not doubt she holds no fear in braving the cooler waters of Chesapeake Bay! Way to "fly" across the course, Adams! (Get it -- "fly." Ok. *Sigh*)
Also flying across the course of the Chesapeake Challenge was Wende Hoffman Pineda! Wende! Wende!
So, we had quite the group of Terrapins out around the Bay on Sunday. A current summary of participants is as follows:
Providing encouragement, support, and photos include Cheryl Wagner and Mollie Grover.
So, best to the 2006 Terrapin Masters Bay Team! Again, give them at pat on the back when you see them at the pool!
