A graduate of one of the premier collegiate swimming and diving programs, Jeff Kostoff has proven his merit on all levels and on both coasts. Kostoff, a Stanford graduate served as Assistant Coach at the University of Maryland from 1993 to 1997. In swimming circles, Kostoff is widely acknowledged as one of the top distance freestylers of all time in the United States. He owns the national high school record of 4:16.00 in the 500 Free. While at Stanford University, Kostoff was a five-time individual NCAA champion in the 1650 Free and 400 IM. He holds 12 American records (500, 800, 1000, 1650-yard Free and 400 IM.) In addition, he represented the United States in both the 1984 and 1988 Olympic Games in the 400 IM.
Kostoff earned his B.A. in History from Stanford in 1987 and is completing his master's degree in History at the University of Maryland. He and his wife, Nadereh, have one son, Ojan.
