From the Board (Andy Ellis, Meghan Gibbons, Marybeth Bauer, Jim Nealis & Jeff Strahota)

The Terrapin Masters Board met on Feb. 16 to discuss the latest and greatest of all things Terrapin. Here are the minutes:

• Board voted to donate $500 to the Matt Weaver Fund. It discussed researching other sites to donate funds. Meghan volunteered to follow up on the Red Cross' Learn to Swim program for adults in Hyattsville. Jim stressed that at least 50% of our funds should go to charity, to justify our non-profit status.
• Team caps and suits were discussed. A couple of vendors were mentioned and Jim is following up on prices, minimum order, the Terrapin Masters logo.
• Jim counts 58 registered Terrapins on the rolls.
• Midday workouts: The Campus Rec. Center is hosting midday swim workouts from 11:45-12:45 during the week. They are not part of Terrapin Masters, but open to any CRS members.
• We will host one meet this year; it will be called the "4th Annual Terrapin Cup & Colonies Zones LCM Championship" provided we win the bid for the latter. Aug 23 afternoon and Aug 24 morning.
• Three more Board meetings were scheduled: 9:30 AM on Sat. April 19th, Sat. July 26th and Sat. Nov.8th. Additional meetings may be called if needed. General Board meetings are open to any registered team members and swimmers are encouraged to attend or to provide input to Board members.
