The listed materials are publications and documents dealing with auto racing history since about 1909 when the Contest Board of the American Automobile Association was established. I have made an effort over many years to gather documents of racing history and make them available to researchers and historians.
The AAA discarded its files in 1967. Fragments found their way to the Indianapolis Speedway. Others were in private hands. There are about 28,000 documents in the listed AAA microfilms here. We are continuing to search for AAA and other associations' material.
The microfilms are 16mm and 35 mm photographs of the listed material. They may be read and hard copies made on machines available in most good libraries today. These are neither video nor movies, but frame-by-frame photos of the documents or complete newspaper pages. All films are $40.00/reel, postpaid and insured in North America.
