Following up on last year's birthday trip to
Norfolk Botanical Garden, this year I dragged
John to yet another flower and plant venue, Richmond's
Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden. Followed
by an afternoon stroll about the nearby
Maymont park. It was overcast, and though only 90, felt quite a bit hotter
what with the crazy humidity. We got a little sprinkling of rain whilst at LG, but it was really more of a 1 minute mist than anything else...
All in all, not the best weather, but I had a good time regardless. Still, we did curtail the afternoon around 3 to return gratefully to the airconditioned
car... and what's with the cowboy hat, you ask? Well, it was one of my birthday presents... so now I guess I'm a bonafide Western-Girl, with
the hat to prove it ("all hat and no cattle")! Anyone thinking of sending me a
fringed shirt and a string tie should just stop thinking it. Now.
